He judged matches twice a week for 32 years.
An inaugural member of the Varsity Quiz Hall of Fame, also a member of the CCSD Hall of Fame.
We honor the memory of Dick Krafve.
The Team Betancourt is named for Carlos Betancourt.
So Carlos coached VQ teams for 16 years.
He was a moderator for both Junior Varsity Quiz and Varsity Quiz.
Also a member of the inaugural class of the Varsity Quiz Hall of Fame.
He retired in 2012.
And Carlos volunteered lots of time even after that for Varsity Quiz and Junior Varsity Quiz.
