We got the best and brightest students matching wits in this challenging academic competition.
In this match, we're doing things a little different.
We're saluting young men and women of Junior Varsity Quiz with this year's All-Star Match, featuring superstars from the nearly two dozen schools that played JVQ this year.
Now, the students have been randomly assigned to the two teams, and we'll explain the names for the teams.
It's going to be different than our regular season because, in this match, we have four timed rounds of up to 20 toss-up questions.

Team Tannenbaum was named after me.
A little bit odd to talk about myself.
I didn't ask for this, but I am celebrating my 50th year in broadcasting.
Started in radio when I was 17, like some of these students are.
