Your vote can make a big difference in what happens in your city, town or even on your street.
There are some simple ways you can decide what issues matter most to you.
And then select the candidate that best represents your views.
First, think about the issues impacting your life and your family's life.
Is it child care costs, affordable housing, taxes, veterans affairs, education or something else?
Next, put those issues in order, starting with the biggest priority to the least important.
Then think about what jurisdiction federal, state or local that most impacts your concern.
For instance, if it's roads that would land in the local bucket, but it's taxes that would land in the federal and state buckets.
Now think about which office in those jurisdictions that will best respond to the concerns that you might have.
County Commission, State Assembly.
Even President of the United States.
Find out all you can about the candidates for the offices that impact your issues the most.
And then vote.
Stay engaged.
Stay informed and happy voting.
