You've decided on who you want to vote for this November.
But now let's walk you through the voting process.
If you are voting using a mail-in ballot, fill out your ballot with a blue or black pen.
Slip it into the secrecy sleeve.
Put the secrecy sleeve with the ballot into the provided envelope, which already has a paid postage.
Now seal and the outside of your ballot.
Quick note by the way, your signature on the ballot envelope will be checked against the signature on your voter registration rolls.
Now you can simply drop the envelope in the mail.
Make sure it gets in the mail on or before Election Day.
That's very important.
Or drop it off at a vote center during early voting or Election Day.
In Nevada it is okay to allow someone else to drop your ballot of in the mail or a polling site, but it is not okay to put someone else's ballot in the same mailing envelope as yours.
Make sure to have separate envelopes for separate ballots.
If you are voting in person, find a polling place close to where you work, live, or some place you are familiar with.
When you arrive your eligibility and signature will be verified by an election worker before you are allowed to vote.
After your identity is verified the poll worker will guide you to the voting machine.
You will make your way to the voting machine and follow the instructions given to you by your poll worker.
From there, you will be able to vote for candidates that represent the area where you live.
When you're done making your selections, you will complete the instructions to vote so your ballot will be recorded.
In Nevada, every voting machine must generate a paper copy of your ballot that you can verify to ensure your ballot is accurately cast.
Make sure to double check your selections.
And of course, don't forget your “I voted” sticker before you leave.
Stay engaged, stay informed and happy voting.
