Each fall, Taylor Creek in South Lake Tahoe comes alive with the vibrant red flash of kokanee salmon returning to their birthplace to spawn. Outdoor Nevada host John Burke visits the annual Fall Fish Festival — a celebration of this spectacular natural event — and learns about the life cycle of the kokanee, the creek’s role in Lake Tahoe’s ecology, and the wild residents that call the area home.
