We all know that voting is an important part of the Democratic process, but how do you go about knowing the issues that impact you and your family and then decide on a candidate?
There were actually five easy steps to do just that.
Step one: Think about what issues are important to your family and why.
Step two: Get an understanding of what offices are up for election and who the candidates are.
Find a voter guide and candidate information from sources that you trust.
Step three: Decide which candidates align most with your views on the issues.
Step four: Make a plan to vote.
Make sure your registration is up to date.
Find your polling place and make sure you know how to get there if you plan to vote in person.
And step five: Vote.
You can vote in person during early voting and on Election Day.
Polls are open, by the way, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on November 5th.
You can also mail in a ballot or drop your mail-In ballot at an official polling place.
Stay engaged, stay informed and happy voting.
