And as she graciously accepted her well-deserved honor, Ms.. Penrod made sure to give her students a very special shout out.

I love them a whole lot, and I think I remember being a team.

I never really forgot that phase of my life, and I was so thankful for those teachers that just invested a little extra in knowing me.
