The general election is on November 5th, so make sure you are registered to vote.
And for anyone with disabilities Nevada does all it can to make sure you can make your voice heard at the polls.
First, every polling place must have at least one voting booth that is designed for people with disabilities.
The booths are wheelchair accessible and allow for privacy.
Second, the equipment at the booths include audio voting sip and puff capabilities, a large print and zoom.
Or for those who prefer, magnifiers.
Third, if you need help inside the voting booth, that is completely okay.
Just make sure the person assisting you is not an employer or employer's agent.
They also can't be an officer or agent of a labor union.
By the way, that extra help in the voting booth also applies for people who need language help as well.
Fourth, if you want to vote by mail but need assistance, that is also not a problem.
Just make sure the person who is helping indicates that beside where the ballot was marked and signed.
And finally, don't forget that Nevadans with disabilities can access online registration, balloting and voting through the EASE system.
It's secure and easy to use.
Go to NVease.gov.
Stay engaged, stay informed and happy voting.
